It is that time of year again when everyone in Indiana decides to vacate the state for warmer climates. Summer Break makes Zionsville a Ghost town. As many locations will not allow us to bring our furry family members, I would like to make a few recommendations.

I love Wigglebutt’s Doghouse. Ben and his staff work hard to make our dogs feel a part of their family. They offer the first day of doggie daycare free to allow your dog to observe and play with other dogs. It is a wonderful cage free facility on the northside of Indianapolis. Ben or a staff member will send you an email during the day letting you know how your dog is doing.

I also like For the Dogs on Zionsville Road and 106th St. Another cage free alternative to kennels of the past. I like when my dogs can chill on dog beds and are played with and have their minds stimulated. Fetch Academy on 96th St. is a location that many of our dogs attend. Do you live Downtown? Try Bark Tuder. In Noblesville? What about Dawg Dayz?

Do you prefer to have your dogs at your home while you are travelling? Contact me as I have a number of college aged dog sitters. This is a great alternative for families with multiple pets or dogs that prefer a quieter experience.

Enjoy your summer!
