Looking for some tips on how to keep your pup warm and happy during this snowy season? Here are some suggestions!

1. Give your dog a warm bed! Hardwood floors and tile can be drafty. Never let them sleep outside!

2. Groom your dog regularly. When their fur becomes matted and dirty, they aren’t kept as warm. It also creates problems come spring, and they may have to be shaved down. Also, be sure to check your dog’s beard (and if you keep their ears long, check those too!) after they come inside. Sometimes they catch balls of snow or can freeze, creating painful tangles. With regularly brushing, your dog will be kept looking great!

3. If you salt down your driveway with a pet safe salt, make sure to wipe your dog’s feet off when they come inside. The salt can cause irritation on their paws.

Dogs love the snow! Given some time outside and a warm home inside, labradoodles do just fine in winter!
