Much like last week’s tips on focus, we are going to play a little “look at me” game to teach your pup their name. Learning their name at a young age is important for many reasons. However, the most important reasons are 1 – safety and 2 – to create a less confusing environment for them.
We are going to play the same game as last week, but with their name. You will call your pup’s name, and reward them as soon as they look at you. As they start succeeding, make them maintain their stare or come all the way to you before rewarding them.
Once they become better at this, change it up and play this game in unfamiliar and busier environments, until they have mastered their name.
