Hope all is well with you! Gus is doing so well and thank goodness his coat is growing back! I am taking him on Wed to Pet Spaw for an appt.
I also I want to get him into the Love on a Leash program….he absolutely loves children and he loves reading books (or for that matter, being included when I read books to my 4 yr old nephew)!
I brought him to the ED last week as I had to teach a class and did not have time to drive him home and go back to Wishard in time. So…Gus came to be the “helper” puppy and did so well interacting with the staff as well as one of the patients. He just sat right next to her as she petted his head. I really think he brought some happiness to her. The other funny thing he did was getting into a cake! We had a retirement celebration earlier in the day and there was a huge sheet cake which he quickly decided he needed to check out by doing a face dive! Luckily, it was just a little area and we were able to salvage the cake! I can’t blame him as I too love a good white cake with buttercream icing!
We are doing the Mutt Strutt in a few weeks and then I am heading home for his first birthday party with my family……my nephew insisted that Gus has a party because “everyone has cake and a party” 🙂 I can’t believe he is almost a year old! He is such a big boy weighing now around 60 pounds!
