People are always surprised that we ship our puppies around the country. At this time, we choose not to ship internationally but we do ship from coast to coast.
This morning, I got up early to take a puppy to the airport. I prefer to fly puppies with Delta. I asked the nice guys at cargo which carrier that they recommend and they all unanimously said, “Delta.”
My husband prepares the crates for all of the puppies. They must be airline approved and have special metal screws. We normally soft freeze the water bottle so it thaws over time. If families are not allergic, we place peanut butter in the food tray so when we place puppy food in it, the food does not spill and it gives puppy to lick and play with on its fligtht. New FFA rules have banned toys in the crate so today was the last day for a toy.
It is always a bittersweet moment for us to say good- bye at the airport. We know that we will most likely never see the puppy that we have cared for, stayed up with, and cherished for the first 8 weeks of its life but we know that a family is excitedly waiting on the end of that flight and that makes it all worthwhile.
Today we said good- bye to Cinco. This is me and Cinco saying our good-byes before he flew to North Carolina. We hope you enjoy him, Moss Family!
We had our puppy, Karli, shipped from Colonial a little over a month ago to Florida and she did awesome! I was pretty nervous beforehand but Mindi reassured me, and all went just fine! She is such a great addition to our family and we love her soooo much! Thanks!
