Rooster continued to work on improving his response to his basic obedience commands. Today, he focused on coming when called, down stays, and leave it with items of interest off-leash. We worked on come when called in a small group setting, and for the most part, Rooster would come trotting back when he would hear us call for him. He even had some very successful recalls from a far distance or when he was distracted by another puppy.
Rooster is still learning how to follow through with holding his down stays with distractions, but he was able to have some successful 1 minute down stays with some other puppies working in the room with us. Rooster continues to work on self-inhibiting while sitting back and waiting for attention.
You can tell our little man is working hard and staying focused. Just look at those puppy dog eyes he gives his trainers!
